What Is Virtual Reality (VR)?

• It gives users the feeling of being visually and audibly present in a completely computer-generated environment.
• Thanks to this technology, users experience interacting in a virtual universe by separating themselves from the real world.

How Does Virtual Reality (VR) Work?

• VR Headsets and Goggles:They present a virtual world in front of the user’s eyes and block out the real world. The displays allow 3D visuals to be reflected into the user’s field of vision.
• Controllers and Control Devices:They enable users to interact with objects in the virtual world. For example, you can hold or move virtual objects.
• Sensors and Motion Tracking:They detect the user’s movements and reflect these movements into the virtual environment in real time. Head and hand movements are tracked through these sensors.


What Are the Areas of Use of VR?

•Entertainment and Gaming:VR offers a wide range of entertainment, from video games to virtual reality experiences. It immersively entertains users in virtual worlds. Examples include VR games and virtual amusement parks.
•Educational Simulations:Virtual environments make educational materials more effective and interactive. They improve learning and teaching processes. Virtual operation simulations for surgeons can be given as an example.
•Medicine and Healthcare:It helps in the training of surgeons and patients. It is used to support treatment and rehabilitation processes. Areas of use include virtual scenarios for phobia treatment, surgical simulations, and therapeutic applications.
• Design and Engineering:It is used to visualize and test product and architectural designs in a virtual environment, which simplifies the design process. Examples include virtual home tours, 3D modeling, architectural design, and engineering prototypes.
